Solvent-free synthesis of zeolites: New insights into the mechanism and non-mechanochemical route

The solvent-free (SF) synthesis is a green alternative to the conventional method of for zeolites. In this study, we show first time feasibility carrying out SF silicalite-1 (F? route) without any grinding. We also monitor changes during thanks multiple characterization techniques: XRD, TGA, SEM, EDX, and multinuclear NMR (13C, 19F, 29Si). how duration thermal treatment impacts zeolite crystal size morphology, as well local degree order probed by solid-state NMR. obtained results provide new insights on formation mechanism based solid phase transformations. Our findings that once organic structure directing agent (OSDA), here tetrapropylammonium, incorporated, crystals are formed no other intermediate phases incorporating OSDA exist. Further, study role water in using 17O For purpose, develop simple efficient enrichment frameworks. efficiency demonstrates hydrolysis condensation reactions its need successful synthesis.
